Package: libboost-chrono1.83.0 Version: 1.83.0-4.2~bpo12+1 Followup-For: Bug #1105951
Dear Maintainer, yesterday, I was bitten by this bug also. I was able to reconstruct the package locally, via apt-get source --compile, even though that first failed and needed some manual, hand-crafted dpkg-buildpackage invocation. In the end, I had a locally generated package libboost-chrono1.83.0_1.83.0-4.2~bpo12+1_amd64.deb that, after installing, showed the bug, too: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libboost_chrono.so.1.83.0 was still missing. I ended up copying one of the files from my build that I found at debian/tmp/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libboost_chrono.so.1.83.0 bin.v2/libs/chrono/build/gcc-12/release/debug-symbols-on/threading- multi/visibility-hidden/libboost_chrono.so.1.83.0 stage/lib/libboost_chrono.so.1.83.0 (they are all bytewise identical) to /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libboost_chrono.so.1.83.0 manually, and that solved the problem for me. I'm aware that this file will not be cleaned up should I ever de-install the package.
