Hi,

I notice (or at least openQA did[1]) that the "testing" version of
debian-edu is no longer installable.

The problem is that debian-edu-install is no longer available, having
been removed from testing (because of _this_ bug), as mentioned here:

  https://lists.debian.org/debian-edu/2025/10/msg00011.html

Lintian complains that you ship an init script without a matching
systemd service, which unless I'm mistaken is a false positive, because
AFAICS the init script is this one:

https://salsa.debian.org/debian-edu/debian-edu-install/-/blob/master/debian/debian-edu-install.xdebian-edu-firstboot.init

and the service to match that is here:

https://salsa.debian.org/debian-edu/debian-edu-install/-/blob/master/debian/debian-edu-install.debian-edu-testsuite.service

I guess you've confused lintian with the x-or-not naming?

Anyway, if I've read that correctly then an override for the lintian
error seems to be all that's needed to get this back into testing.

HTH

Cheers, Phil.
