Dear Maintainer, The Debian Hyprland maintainers team would like to salvage this package following the procedure mentioned in [1], as this package has met the criteria laid out on [2]: - There is a missing upstream release with a bug report[3] that has no maintainer activity - There is a need to upload the package to deal with the above - The last two NMUs (also for new upstream releases) were unacknowledged, and no maintainer activity was present in any of the NMU bug reports ([4], [5]) - There has been no visible maintainer activity since commit 67762b5[6] on 2025-05-04. This same version (0.7.0-1) was uploaded much more recently on 2025-07-27, but by then it was already out of date (latest upstream version on that date was 0.8.0), and an RM bug existed to remove the entire hypr ecosystem from trixie including this package[7][8]. In the meantime, the merge request[10] that was originally opened for hyrputils 0.8.4 and has been open for 3 months as of today and NMU-ed twice, has now been updated to 0.10.1. Additional info: this is the second source package in the hypr ecosystem being salvaged, the first one being hyprland[9], with no reply from the same maintainer. Please respond within 21 days if you wish to interrupt or expedite this process. In 21 days, if there is no objection on this bug report, I will NMU hyprutils from the merge request[10] into DELAYED/7 as per step 3 of [1].
