Package: mate-desktop-environment
Version: 1.26.0+2
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I'm on a fresh installation of Debian testing (nearly Debian 13) and have
mate-desktop 1.26.0+2 installed. (1.26.0+3 is available, but the relevant
patch in git is still the same)

My goal is to use Windows+T to open a new tab in an existing mate-terminal
instance. Instead it always opens a new terminal.

## Problem source

Mod4+T (Windows+T) is used as default key binding for opening a terminal,
which can be changed with mate-keybinding-properties.
After using that to disable the shortcut, Mod4+T still opens the terminal.

Using dconf-editor I was able to see in
 /org/mate/marco/global-keybindings/
that run-command-4 has the shortcut <Mod4>t assigned.
This is not configurable in mate-keybinding-properties.

When using dconf-editor to set
 /org/mate/marco/global-keybindings/run-command-4
to disabled, the global shortcut is gone and I can assign and use
the Mod4+T key combination in mate-terminal to open a new tab.

## Suggestion

Either remove the run-command-x shortcuts or make them
configurable in mate-keybinding-properties.

## Debian source

In my upstream bug report[1], user vkareh debugged it and saw that
the reason is a debian overlay file that defines those unmodifiable
shortcuts:
