The removal of this package has already been discussed at lenght here:
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1018137
From my understanding there is an agreement to ask for the former removal.
I would add on my side that it is one of an handfull (=5) of packages
still relying on the old autotools.mk class of CDBS;
this class is going to be removed in next CDBS upload
to keep the bare minimumu until the 1000+ Haskell
packages have all been rebuilt.
