Hi, while examining r-cran-gh for LTS, I found that the test suite actually doesn't run any tests. In tests/testthat.R, there is a check for the value of the NOT_CRAN environment variable. Because that one is not set, the test will always return false and not run any tests. After setting that variable, the testsuite will run, but fail at least one step due to the test setup (tests/testthat/test-spelling.R), and skip other tests. However, it would still improve the situation to actually run the remaining tests.
