Hi! This bug report is from 2023, is about bookworm version of qemu, and it's really old by now.
Today, we've trixie, and it is present in exactly the same way there too. I weren't aware of this bug until now. Once I saw it, I immediately know what it is about and what to do about it. The prob is - indeed - a missing build option of qemu xen subpackage, - it needs crypto libs and vnc-sasl too. It's a trivial fix, - I already fixed it for sid (will upload today), fixing it for trixie is less easy obviously. But I've one question, wrt a discussion mentioned by zithro: > I -think- VNC auth has been removed from the last QEMU versions. > Also maybe related, QEMU in Debian is not configured with VNC_SASL > (there was a discussion about it in #debian-xen). Can I see the details here? Myself, as qemu maintainer, I don't see a reason to restrict/remove vnc sasl or vnc passwords. Thanks, /mjt
