I have recently taken over maintenance of the courier packages in Debian. I apologize that nobody responded to your bug report in a timely manner. Can you confirm if this issue still exists in the current version of courier- authdaemon in Debian (0.72.4-3)? The architecture of the package has changed a lot in the intervening years, and I don’t think this would still be a problems, but I want to check to make sure.
