Package: libcriterion-dev
Version: 2.4.1-2build2
Severity: important
File: criterion
X-Debbugs-Cc: [email protected]

Dear Maintainers,

Criterion was removed from Debian testing on 21 Sep 2025 due to some
minor compilation issues that have been fixed upstream:
https://tracker.debian.org/news/1668941/criterion-removed-from-testing/

The latest version available in Debian was 2.4.1, but the upstream
version is 2.4.3, which contains all bugfixes required for successful
compilation on Debian testing.

I have tried to contact the maintainer on multiple platforms in recent
months, but I haven't been able to reach him.

We also let him know about the required patches and the new releases,
for example:
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1096481

I would like to ask for assistance in getting the Criterion package
reintroduced into Debian testing and keeping it relatively up-to-date.

I am willing to help with any packaging, coordination, or upstream
coding work.
We'll be responsive and provide timely releases, fixes, and any other
changes needed to meet your requirements for proper packaging.

Best regards,
László Várady
