I assume that Debian's Xfce will continue to support an Xorg session
for the foreseeable future.

Some people may not need or want an Xorg session once the Xfce Wayland
session is good enough.

For these people, I think splitting the xsession support to a separate
binary package would be helpful. I believe the xsession package should
have Depends: xserver-xorg.

Naming suggestions:
- Debian 13 has gnome-session-xsession which copied the Fedora package
of that name. That package no longer exists in Testing since the GNOME
sessions are now Wayland only. Debian 13's gnome-session has
Recommends: gnome-session-xsession since we still wanted to install it
by default but allow people to easily uninstall it.
- Ubuntu has a plasma-session-x11 binary package (built from
plasma-workspace) but that package isn't in Debian. Fedora's package
is plasma-workspace-x11
