I finalised the preparation of the 3.8.4-1 libarchive upload, and am running a local build right now in the backgound. Once it is done, I’m going to update the packaging repository.
For convenience I added myself in Uploaders, if all goes well with this one I would be happy to sponsor your future uploads of libarchive. I only have two remarks before I send it to the archive: You added Syed Shahrukh Hussain (CCed to this e-mail) to the list of Uploaders, is that on their request and are they actually going to take an active part in this package maintenance? You included a debian/.gitignore file, but my tests show no need for it. I’m OK with keeping in included if it helps with your maintenance work, but please be aware that needing it in the first place might be a symptom of wrong tooling/setup on your side.
