Package: bluez Version: 5.84-1 Severity: important File: /usr/libexec/bluetooth/bluetoothd
Dear Maintainer, Fairly often but not always when I disable bluetooth, I cannot turn it back on: - I click the button in the Gnome UI to disable bluetooth - I click it again to turn bluetooth back on - Nothing happens: The UI first indicates something is happening with this 3-dot symbol, then after a few seconds it goes back to bluetooth being off I now have to reboot the entire system to use bluetooth again, which is rather disruptive. This used to work fine on the same laptop until mid/late last year. It was broken by an update since then. I have no idea where in the bluetooth stack the problem lies, bluez just seemed like the most obvious first place to report this. Here is the systemd log for that entire sequence, filtered to messages that mention bluetooth: Jan 11 12:57:18 r-ethtop bluetoothd[1074]: Controller resume with wake event 0x0 Jan 11 12:59:50 r-ethtop kernel: Bluetooth: hci0: command 0x0c1a tx timeout Jan 11 12:59:50 r-ethtop kernel: Bluetooth: hci0: Initiating acpi reset method Jan 11 12:59:50 r-ethtop kernel: Bluetooth: hci0: Opcode 0x0c1a failed: -110 Jan 11 12:59:50 r-ethtop kernel: Bluetooth: hci0: Error when powering off device on rfkill (-110) Jan 11 12:59:53 r-ethtop bluetoothd[1074]: src/profile.c:record_cb() Unable to get Hands-Free Voice gateway SDP record: Software caused connection abort Jan 11 12:59:53 r-ethtop kernel: Bluetooth: hci0: command 0x0c1a tx timeout Jan 11 12:59:53 r-ethtop kernel: Bluetooth: hci0: acpi: last reset failed ?
