Dear Maintainer, hello. On Debian 13, XFCE, every boot causes the directories /root/.cache/mesa_shader_cache and /root/.cache/mesa_shader_cache_db to be recreated and populated with files. I am not logging into the root user account at all, it happens on its own. This did not use to happen on Debian 12. Please avoid writing to the root home directory for no reason, there are more suitable locations in /var/cache or elsewhere, if it is truly necessary to generate those files on every boot. -- System Information: Debian Release: 13.3 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable-security'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.12.63+deb13-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=C.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=C.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled
