Hi,

seems like CMake 4.5 has problems with this line in the topmoset CMakeLists.txt

cmake_minimum_required(VERSION 3.5)

Lazy developers like me usually just keep the minimum version from the star and
just
increase it if needed.

Maybe it is enough to require a newer version. Not sure which one that would be.

Or we just try the proposed workaround od passing
-DCMAKE_POLICY_VERSION_MINIMUM=3.5 to cmake

dh binary --with python3 --buildsystem=cmake
   dh_update_autotools_config -O--buildsystem=cmake
   dh_autoreconf -O--buildsystem=cmake
   debian/rules override_dh_auto_configure

        -DAMGCL_HAVE_PYTHON=ON \
        -DAMGCL_HAVE_FORTRAN=ON

CMake Error at CMakeLists.txt:1 (cmake_minimum_required):
Compatibility with CMake < 3.5 has been removed from CMake.

Update the VERSION argument <min> value. Or, use the <min>...<max> syntax
to tell CMake that the project requires at least <min> but has been updated
to work with policies introduced by <max> or earlier.

Or, add -DCMAKE_POLICY_VERSION_MINIMUM=3.5 to try configuring anyway.
