It serves as a replacement for the legacy xpad driver and implements Microsoft's Game Input Protocol (GIP). The driver supports: - Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S controllers (wired) - Xbox Wireless Adapter for USB connectivity - Third-party Xbox-compatible controllers - Force feedback and rumble - Battery status reporting - LED control - Audio support The package uses DKMS to automatically build the xone kernel modules for installed kernels. Note: I previously submitted xpadneo-dkms for ITP. These two packages serve complementary purposes and do not conflict. xpadneo provides Bluetooth connectivity for Xbox controllers, while xone provides support for wired controllers and the Xbox Wireless Adapter dongle. Users who want full Xbox controller support on Linux benefit from having both drivers available. This package is based on the actively maintained fork by Daniel Lundqvist.
