Upstream version 4.1.3 introduced a custom version of TB01ZD.f (modified from
SLICOT upstream) to be incorporated into the .oct file (see the header of
src/TB01ZD.f).
However the Debian packaging does not incorporate this modified version, but
links to the SLICOT version, see use-external-slicot.patch.
The latter patch should be adapted to include the custom version of TB01ZD.f,
making sure that it indeed overrides the version of the same symbol that is in
libslicot.a at link time.
Thanks for the heads-up.
Shortly before you filed this bug report, I uploaded version 4.2.1-1 of
the Octave-Control package. The bug is still present in this version of
the package, and I am noting this accordingly. I will take a look at it
as soon as possible.
