This wasn't the setup for 1:140.7.0esr-1 , which (IMHO correctly)
depends on the system-installed librnp.
I note that the experimental thunderbird package does explicitly depend
on librnp0, so it's strange for it to ship an extra copy.
to clarify a bit...
We had the situation a while ago (maybe 1-1.5 years) where we had
multiple times issues regarding the required version of the rnb library
in unstable/testing. Only in experimental the version dependency was
able to get solved with the versions in the archive.
As we have the same issue mostly happen also to other libraries in
*stable after some time and mostly I decided to stay on the internal
shipped libraries also in unstable/testing as it did take some efforts
on merging the various packaging trees to sort out what the correct
configuration for TB then is.
The situation on RNP is now better, switching back to use the depending
package(s) should be possible without pain and problems.
Christoph and I will talk about how and when to do so.
