thank you for maintaining cbootimage in Debian.
Regarding this bug: While I agree that an immediate upload was not
needed at the time when the bug was filed. Unfortunately this did also
not happen in two subsequent uploads of the later versions.
To avoid this in future I have some suggestion: What about maintaning
the packag in Debian team on Salsa. I noticed you have a login on
Salsa. I would volunteer to create the repository using
`gbp import-dscs` and grant you permissions on this repository.
This would enable pushing such changes to make sure these will not be
forgotten next time. Please let me know what you think and I'll happily
support you in doing so.

PS: This package was highlighted in the Bug of the Day[1] initiative, which
aims to introduce newcomers to manageable tasks and guide them through
the workflow to solve them. The focus of this initiative is on migrating
packages to Salsa, as it's a great way to help newcomers become familiar
