The latest version of the quaternion package is 2.4.2 (released on 10-Dec-2025):

The errors should be fixed in that version.
Thank you for the reminder. Version 2.4.2 of the octave-quaternion
package for Debian has already been prepared on Salsa (Debian's Git
server).[1] However, its upload to unstable is on hold, because
it build-depends on octave-generate-html, which is currently awaiting
approval in the NEW queue.[2]
