Dear Maintainer, with forky, its possible to have the Desktop use dbus-broker and no dbus-daemon binary installed. Starting Programs usign the bus will then report: AT-SPI: Error retrieving accessibility bus address: org.a11y.Bus.Error: Failed to spawn child process “/usr/bin/dbus-daemon” (No such file or directory) and some Tools like tecla then crash. Upstream already supports dbus-broker, so all that is needed is to add the line to debian/rules: configure_options += -Ddbus_broker=/usr/bin/dbus-broker-launch I build the package with this modification, and the problem is gone Regards, Norbert -- System Information: Debian Release: forky/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.18.5+deb14-amd64 (SMP w/24 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages at-spi2-core depends on: ii at-spi2-common 2.59.0-1 ii gsettings-desktop-schemas 50~alpha-1 ii libatspi2.0-0t64 2.59.0-1 ii libc6 2.42-11+b1 ii libdbus-1-3 1.16.2-3 ii libglib2.0-0t64 2.86.3-5 ii libsystemd0 259-1 ii libx11-6 2:1.8.12-1+b1 ii libxtst6 2:1.2.5-1+b1 at-spi2-core recommends no packages. at-spi2-core suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
