The watch file is still invalid. It recognize release candidates (suffix
"-rc2"). This should not be the case.

It was mentioned in the past by Fabio but ignored:

  * d/watch: correct sorting prerelease versions (Closes: #1087686)

In 1.5.3-1 I had improved/fixed the watch for correctly sorting prerelease replacing - with ~

before was wrong, for example 1.6.0-rc2 > 1.6.0, with that commit 1.6.0~rc2 < 1.6.0

on commit description I wrote "d/watch: improve excluding pre-release versions" but is not correct, because I have not excluded the prerelease, I wrote correctly in the changelog

it had correct the bug you opened (https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1087686):

I am not sure but it seems the WATCH is not able to correct sorting "v1.5.3"
and "v1.5.3-rc1".

It still show "v1.5.3-rc1" as the latest version available.
But the latest version available is "v1.5.3".
