I think it would probably be best to discuss this in a separate
ticket, indeed.

But I warn you that probably my rwesponse is not going to be as
positive as you might hope.  The situation is more complex than it
appears from the conversation here.

So given that it's not likely to lead quickly to us implementing such
a feature, you may feel it better to spend your time in another way.
