Hi again,

sf.net shows:

  0.52.5 2026-02-08 85
  0.52.4 2025-10-04 2
  0.52.3 2024-10-26 0
  0.52.2 2024-08-15 137
  0.52.1 2024-06-30 0
  0.52 2023-11-04 1
  0.51.1 2023-05-24 0
  0.51 2023-04-29 0
  0.50 2023-02-19 1
  0.49 2021-03-14 1

So the "current" version is from 2021 and there have been several
upstream releases since then.

Please update. Especially if LibreOffice changes happened new upstream
versions are adapting to it... (What prompted me to look at it right now
actually is [1], but that is a libreoffice bug)

Looking at https://extensions.libreoffice.org/en/extensions/show/texmaths-1:

0.52.5    This version fixes the incompatibility issue between TexMaths and
LibreOffice Writer 26.2. A new italian translation has also been added.
Linux, Windows, macOS    GPL    0.52.5
- Fix TexMaths not working in Writer for LibreOffice 26.2
- Add italian translation (thanks to Marco Ciampa <[email protected]>)    13
days ago

testing/sids version is said 26.2.

[...]

0.52.3    This release fixes a bug that caused a crash with LibreOffice
24.8.1.2 and above. It also fixes a regression introduced in version 0.51.1
where \begin{pmatrix} (and bmatrix, vmatrix) environment was incorrectly forced
to LaTeX mode.    7.4   Linux, Windows, macOS    GPL    0.52.3
- Workaround for a regression introduced in LibreOffice 24.8.1 where With ...
End With intructions don't work anymore
- Fix regression introduced in version 0.51.1 where \begin{pmatrix} (and
bmatrix, vmatrix) environment was incorrectly forced to LaTeX mode

Debian stables version is 25.2. While the regression mentioned *might* have been fixed,
the " bug that caused a crash with LibreOffice 24.8.1.2 and above" at least
sounds it was a fix inside texmath and different to the workaround. Not sure :)

But we definitely want >= 0.52.5 now anyways, 0.52.3 for stable will probably
be impossible, though ;)

Regards,

Rene
