OK, but even if you send a longer email, the changelog should contain the bug number and a short explanation, so that users who are affected by this bug but have not subscribed to this bug can know that it is now fixed. Moreover, this bug should be marked as fixed in the Debian BTS with the number of the version for which this bug is fixed.
