It is the maintainer's preference (for Debian UBports and Debian MATE, etc. teams) currently to use debian/copyright.in to assist in keeping debian/copyright updated. The file isn't actually created or updated with CDBS any more but by licensecheck. https://github.com/sunweaver/MyHomeConfig/blob/master/bin/update-copyright.in We'll update these packages to remove reference to CDBS, but it may take some time.
