Dear Maintainer,

When running in Debian Forky I am unable to run commands as root via
sudo.  Even something simple such as sudo ls fails with the error
message "root is not in the sudoers file".  I did verify that root is
indeed listed in the /etc/sudoers file just as it always has been.
