Package: heimdall-flash Version: 2.1.0-1 Severity: normal X-Debbugs-Cc: [email protected]
Dear Maintainer, Trying to flash to a Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo (SM-G903W) on Debian Forky, Heimdall just gives the error `ERROR: Failed to receive file part response!`. This appears to just be an issue with Exynos 7580 based devices, I tested with multiple other Samsungs, using other Exynos, Snapdragon and MediaTek SoCs, and none of them have this issue. Doing some Googling on the issue, there are reports of it on the Galaxy A3 2016, also Exynos 7580 based like the S5 Neo. Some people on GitHub and Reddit did report a fix, however that's for Heimdall 1.4.1, and I'm unsure if it'll apply to 2.1.0. https://github.com/Benjamin- Dobell/Heimdall/issues/347 https://www.reddit.com/r/LineageOS/comments/e0y0z5/installing_recovery_with_heimdall_fails_on/ -- System Information: Debian Release: forky/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 6.18.15+deb14-amd64 (SMP w/12 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_CA.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_CA.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_CA:en Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages heimdall-flash depends on: ii libc6 2.42-13 ii libgcc-s1 15.2.0-13 ii libstdc++6 15.2.0-13 ii libusb-1.0-0 2:1.0.29-2+b1 heimdall-flash recommends no packages. heimdall-flash suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
