I (current maintainer for source package ‘python-jsonext’) have not used
nor maintained any of the binary packages for several years. The Debian
package is effectively unmaintained.

The upstream package for ‘python-jsonext’ is effectively unmaintained
upstream.
As reported by Alexandre Detiste (thank you) in bug#1130352, this package's
dependency on the obsolescent Python ‘six’ package is preventing removal of
that package from Debian.
The package is a library for applications, and has no reverse dependencies
in Debian “unstable”. I (the package maintainer) hereby request removal of
package ‘src:python-jsonext’ from Debian.
