I wonder of some of the vdr experts can raise some opinion about dov4l. Besides what I wrote in the bug report I realise that we have a non-zero popcon usage https://qa.debian.org/popcon-graph.php?packages=dov4l&show_installed=on&show_vote=on&want_legend=on&want_ticks=on&from_date=&to_date=&hlght_date=&date_fmt=%25Y-%25m&beenhere=1 If someone thinks it might make sense inside Debian I think it should at least be maintained inside the Debian VDR Team team (and I volunteer to do the migration).
