Control: tags -1 patch Thanks Hi Bart,
I have the impression that more and more nifty tools like tag2upload or the just announced debaudit are profitting from packages maintained in Git. Since my workflow also includes Git and I love to check (and prove) my changes in Salsa CI I created a repository in Debian Phototools team to provide a patch for this problem. As it was stated in the bug log upstream has provided a patch which is applied here: https://salsa.debian.org/debian-phototools-team/qiv/-/commit/6f63974a37ab90c81309d72281dc7175c8b3760d It also includes to drop the other patch in the package by adding a PREFIX variable to dh_auto_install. Having less patches might have some advantage. If you prefer the old patch debian/patches/prefix.diff I'd happy to adapt it (which is needed due to a conflict with the upstream patch which I applied before since we can expect this in the next upstream release so it creates less hasle for the future). IMHO the upstream patch is not sufficient since you also need https://salsa.debian.org/debian-phototools-team/qiv/-/commit/2b65fc84ba10c998bc03ab9ea3b4722cfee6815f to use CPPFLAGS which for instance is used for hardening (which I switched on in the following commit.) Salsa CI now (and only now confirms that all build flags are used.) If you might consider team maintenance in Phototools team I'd offer toserve as an additional Uploader for this package. Since I'm not sure whether you like this I have not yet changed the maintainer field. Just let me know if you prefer maintenance somewhere else and I can remove the repository there. Kind regards Andreas. -- https://fam-tille.de
