at the risk of stating the obvious, upstream has provided several new releases, fixing quite a nice collection of integer overflows, NULL pointer dereference, stack buffer overflow, off-by-one errors, and more, cf. their Changes file at <https://github.com/maxmind/libmaxminddb/compare/1.12.2...1.13.3#diff-46efb9fafbbb11cf26bd8ac10f0bc5df02ac0e42f593b87cce382e712b8cf950>, IMHO making it worth eventually having in Debian.
