We do have git-annex-remote-rclone package in Debian which is a
prototype-grade-used-in-production bash-based git-annex special remote for
git-annex which I help to maintain upstream and in debian. Based on that
prototype builtin special remote was developed upstream and added in
v1.67.0. It was further improved after

ATM rclone is a bit dated but of version with git-annex support but not
providing git-annex-remote-rclone-builtin .
