Package: uhubctl Version: 2.6.0-3 Severity: wishlist Dear Maintainer,
Please consider shipping the udev/rules.d file available in the source in some form in the binary package. The udev rules shipped in the source changes the permission from root-only to also allow dialout group to control usb hubs. This is very convenient from a user point of view, but possibly might not fit the use-case of every debian installation that installs the uhubctl package. I thus request that you consider either ship the udev rules file as provided in the sources as: 1/ an example, in /usr/share/doc/uhubctl/examples/, via dh_installexamples. 2/ in the proper udev rules location (/usr/lib/udev/rules.d/). Either of these two options would be more convenient for the end users (even if as in option 1 that they'll have to copy the example in place manually) than not having the rules file easily available. PS. personally I would have picked another group than dialout, possibly plugdev, but diverging from upstream and available internet wisdom in various guides might be confusing for end users.
