Nedw version of czkawka was installed this morning as part of apt-get
full=upgrade. I searched for
duplicate image files on an attached flashdrive. When the search was finished I
ticked the files
I wanted deleted. The app then locked up and became totally unresponsive.
After killing the apt
I tried a similar seach for empty files, and did the same thing ticking the
ones I wanted deleted, but
this time the files were deleted with no lockup.

I files a big report on the Githuib site of the app and was told by it's
developer
that the problem stems from Debian deliberate use of a buggy version of GTK4.

This is from his email to me:

Debian intentionally used a broken version of GTK4 (probably because newer
versions introduce breaking changes,
which would require updating other projects as well) -
https://sources.debian.org/patches/rust-czkawka-gui/11.0.1-1/relax-deps.patch/

The only way to fix this is probably to report the problem to the package
maintainers.
