It handles authenticated sessions with the router and requests data from the HTTP or HTTPS endpoints used by the ASUSWRT administration interface. The data exposed by the library includes router status, network information, connected clients, Wi-Fi details, and other values reported by the firmware. . The library talks directly to the configured router. For mesh systems, the primary router may report information about AiMesh nodes and clients known to the ASUSWRT firmware. This library is a dependancy of Home Assistant, the Python smart home platform. I plan to maintain it as part of the Home Assistant team.
