Package: sponsorship-requests
Severity: wishlist

Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package "python-plantuml":

 * Package name     : python-plantuml
   Version          : 0.3.0+git20191101.173cd86-1
   Upstream contact : Doug Napoleone <[email protected]>
 * URL              : https://github.com/dougn/python-plantuml
 * License          : BSD-2-clause
 * Vcs              : https://salsa.debian.org/python-team/packages/plantuml
   Section          : python

The source builds the following binary packages:

  python3-plantuml - remote client interface to plantuml server

To access further information about this package, please visit the following
URL:

  https://mentors.debian.net/package/python-plantuml/

Alternatively, you can download the package with 'dget' using this command:

  dget -x
https://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/p/python-plantuml/python-plantuml_0.3.0+git20191101.173cd86-1.dsc

Changes since the last upload:

python-plantuml (0.3.0+git20191101.173cd86-1) UNRELEASED; urgency=medium

  * Initial release. (Closes: #1136711)

Some additional info/questions:

- As described in the ITP, upstream does not release tarballs nor tags
  their releases. However, the pypi releases (only wheels) are
  versioned. To make sure that I package the same version as was
  uploaded to pypi, I downloaded the 0.3.0 wheel, unzipped it, and
  matched the sha256 checksum of plantuml.py against the version in the
  git repo.
- Given that upstream does not provide tarballs, I am not sure whether
  the content of d/watch is correct. Currently, it causes the salsa
  pipeline to fail because uscan errors out.

Thanks in advance for your help and sponsorhip!

Regards,
