To be able to backport Virtualbox 7.2.8 from Unstable to Trixie, I had to also backport kbuild 1:0.1.9998svn3686+dfsg-2. Please express this in the build-depends, and do write: kbuild (>= 1:0.1.9998svn3686+dfsg) to help people like me, who run virtualbox in Stable out of a home-made backport from Unstable.
