Package: maradns
Version: 1.0.23-4
Severity: minor
The README.Debain file should:
1) Put the subdomain discussion in a new section/subsection, and
include some non-subdomain content in the current Authoritative
section (perhaps referring to sample configuration file, as is done
in the Recursive section).
2) The subdomain Disadvantages section has some errors:
- DocumentRoot doesn't get harder, as it can be replaced by
VirtualDocumentRoot (in Apache2).
- "Not that clean" doesn't apply to Apache2, as virtual hosts are
a key component to Apache2 and even its default configuration in
Debian.
- The "Web statistics might get a little harder to do" doesn't
apply as the virtual host can be included as a field in the
logfile, and apache2-utils contains split-logfile, which will
separate combined logfiles for you.
Also, it may be worth providing the following link, which explains in
detail virtual hosting in Apache2:
