Dear Maintainer,

After reciving the upgrade to 3.4.1+ds1-5+deb13u3 last night, backups
started failing. I use the "rsyncd" server protocol, rather than
rsync-over-ssh and each file that was attempted resulted in:

rsync: [sender] send_files failed to open "/etc/.git/refs/heads/master" (in
backup): Invalid argument (22)

There is a basically identical report upstream
(https://github.com/RsyncProject/rsync/issues/897), so I
presume that the change will come from there.

Downgrading to 3.4.1+ds1-5+deb13u2 has allowed my backups to continue,
but obviously I'm missing out on the security patches.
