Package: hplip Followup-For: Bug #1137654 X-Debbugs-Cc: [email protected]
It probably does not help much, but trying to download hplip plugin outside a browser, e.g. with wget, leads to a 403 error. Adding a user agent to wget like so, makes the download complete successfully $ wget --user-agent="Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/149.0.0.0 Safari/537.36" https://developers.hp.com/sites/default/files/2026-05/hplip-3.26.4-plugin.run The same applies for the .run.asc file which is needed for verification, but I have no idea how to verify the download, so please let hplip install it without verification. -- System Information: Debian Release: forky/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 7.0.10+deb14-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages hplip depends on: ii adduser 3.155 pn cups <none> pn hplip-data <none> ii libc6 2.42-16 ii libcups2t64 2.4.18-1 ii libdbus-1-3 1.16.2-5 pn libhpmud0 <none> ii libjpeg62-turbo 1:3.1.3-4 pn libpython3.13 <none> pn libsane-hpaio <none> ii libsane1 1.4.0-1+b1 ii libstdc++6 16.1.0-1 pn printer-driver-hpcups <none> ii python3 3.13.9-3+b1 pn python3-dbus <none> ii python3-gi 3.56.2-1 pn python3-pexpect <none> ii python3-pil 12.2.0-1 pn python3-reportlab <none> ii sysvinit-utils [lsb-base] 3.18-1 ii wget 1.25.0-2 ii xz-utils 5.8.3-1 Versions of packages hplip recommends: ii avahi-daemon 0.8-18 ii pkexec 127-3 ii polkitd 127-3 pn printer-driver-postscript-hp <none> ii sane-utils 1.4.0-1+b1 Versions of packages hplip suggests: pn hplip-doc <none> pn hplip-gui <none> pn python3-notify2 <none> pn system-config-printer <none>
