retitle 449186 libid3: request for ID3v2.4 support severity 449186 wishlist thanks
id3lib3.8.3_3.8.3-22 addresses the "silently ignores" part of this bug report: A one-line notice is printed to stderr when a v2 tag header reports a version newer than ID3v2.3.0 or an unrecognised version (e.g. ID3v2.4), instead of discarding the tag silently. No ID3v2.4 parsing capability has been added (yet). I leave this bug report open as a wishlist request for ID3v2.4 support.
