Hi Wesley, Since this appears to be an issue with the upstream code and not the Debian package, please consider to forward reports like this to the upstream bug tracker instead of here. For now, I have just done that for you. It might be fixed in 0.47.4 as I see some font rendering commits there (but did not test) -- I'll let upstream maintainer confirm this.
