I did implement it once, but then I noticed it doesn't work very nicely
because login process is chrooted, so either you have to set it
non-chrooted (not such a great idea) or you'll have to create
the /etc/hosts* inside the chroot (and since it's in /var/run, they get
deleted at reboot). The patch is here:

Proper support will probably come for Dovecot v2.0.
