Package: apt-dater Version: 1.0.4+git20260113-1 Severity: important X-Debbugs-Cc: [email protected]
Dear Maintainer, After a recent upgrade of tmux apt-dater started (when connecting to a host) failing with errors like: "invalid window name: user,,, # root@host...." (username and host are edited) Latest versions of tmux have restricted characters allowed in window titles (see tmux/tmux#5299) so apt-dater fails I did not find a way of setting a title in the config file of apt-dater... Actually the code seems to set a title without resorting to the config file (see line 174 of src/tmux.c) if I understand correctly (I'm not a C expert). Apart from editing the src and recompiling, what is your advice? (I also submitted the same message to the issues on apt-dater repository, see https://github.com/DE-IBH/apt-dater/issues/188) Thank you -- System Information: Debian Release: forky/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (900, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.12.73+deb13-amd64 (SMP w/16 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_PROPRIETARY_MODULE, TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages apt-dater depends on: ii libc6 2.42-17 ii libglib-perl 3:1.329.4-1+b1 ii libglib2.0-0t64 2.88.2-1 ii libncursesw6 6.6+20251231-1+b1 ii libpopt0 1.19+dfsg-2+b2 ii libtinfo6 6.6+20251231-1+b1 ii libxml-writer-perl 0.900-2 ii libxml2-16 2.15.3+dfsg-1 ii lockfile-progs 0.2.0 ii openssh-client 1:10.3p1-5 ii perl 5.40.1-8 ii procmail 3.24+really3.22-5 ii tmux 3.5a-3 apt-dater recommends no packages.
