Package: otags Version: 4.05.1-3 Severity: normal X-Debbugs-Cc: [email protected]
I must have installed ocaml-core manually with apt somewhen in the past and I have no specific requirement for package otags. After enabling error reporting (which was never used before) I get daily error messages from cron: run-parts: /etc/cron.daily/otags exited with return code 3 Running the update-otags which is called from the cron job gets the following error: Fatal error: escaping exception File "/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ocaml/5.3.0/compiler-libs/parmatch.mli", line 35, characters 0-68: type substitution in signatures are not supported before OCaml 4.08 Please rerun otags with -v as *first* option to get a backtrace and send the command line, the input files and the backtrace as bug report to [email protected] In the past I at least made an update from Bookworm to Trixie. The otags package does not seem to exist for Trixie but was not removed with autoremove. aptitude why otags i ocaml-core Recommends ocaml-tools i A ocaml-tools Suggests otags the following package versions are installed: ocaml-core: 5 ocaml-tools: 20120103-13 otags: 4.05.1-3 I'm not sure if I did something wrong, but I think package otags is deprecated and should have been removed automatically. -- System Information: Debian Release: 13.5 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.12.73+deb13-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_PROPRIETARY_MODULE, TAINT_OOT_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages otags depends on: ii libc6 2.41-12+deb13u3 otags recommends no packages. otags suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
