Observe that Evince goes unresponsive. Kill it. On a second attempt immediately afterward, evince hangs up already during its start: a page is shown, but evince doesn't respond to mouse clicks. Kill it again. Dozens of minutes later, a third attempt to view the file succeeds, but the search hangs up as before. In a few tests of mine, the bug seems to occur less frequently in continuous mode than in pagewise mode.
