Package: libmariadb3
Version: 1:11.8.6-6
Severity: important
Dear Maintainer,
after upgrading from MariaDB 11.8.6 to 11.8.8 MythTV didn’t record any
shows anymore. The logs show different errors of the kind „Column
'starttime' cannot be null”.
Downgrading only libmariadb3 to 11.8.6 fixes the problem.
In Fedore this problem is fixed by downgrading mariadb-connector-c from
3.4.9-1 to 3.4.8-3 according to the MythTV mailing list.
I don’t know if this is a bug in MythTV or MariaDB, but I’m wondering why
a minor release has such a change.
Besides 11.8.8 is scheduled for the next Debian 13 point release.
Many greetings,
Stephan Seitz
