It is an Lenovo T99W175 5G modem but it really seems to be a Foxconn SDX55
PCIe WWAN module.
I would like to better understand when it was first supported, how many
updates it's getting, etc.
Does it really matter how many times there have been updates in the past?
You never know when there will be need of an update, it might be tomorrow
or in a couple of years. "Prediction is difficult, especially about the
future."
Anyway, just to let you know, I have locally upgraded modemmanager to
version 1.22.0-3 from snapshot.debian.org together with libmbim version
1.30.0-1 and libqmi 1.34.0-2 from snapshot.debian.org as well, and it
actually works quite well with network-manager version 1.42.4-1+deb12u1
(i.e. no other upgrades needed).
