Currently, whenever a perf.data file is opened that contains references to symbols which use Rust mangling scheme v0 (the default since Rust 1.97), those symbols are displayed in the mangled form. This isn't the case with the AppImage build provided by KDAB on their upstream Github Releases page. >From what I understand, this feature requires linking against rustc-demangle library, particularly the C API version of such. Currently it is not included in the Debian repository. I have already filed an RFP for inclusion of rust-rustc-demangle-capi package into Debian repository (bug #1141849).
