Source: localechooser Version: 2.112 Severity: wishlist Dear Maintainer,
In the Debian Installer country selection, Turkey is listed under Asia. The classification appears to come from the localechooser regionmap file, where Turkey is currently defined as: TR Asia However, several other transcontinental or geographically ambiguous countries in the same region are classified under Europe, including Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, and Cyprus. For consistency with those existing classifications, I propose changing Turkey's entry to: TR Europe This change would affect only the region under which Turkey appears in the country selection menu. -- System Information: Debian Release: 13.6 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable-security'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.12.95+deb13-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US:en Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled
